We spent the day wandering through Storm King Art Center, a beautiful outdoor sculpture park, and tasting wine at Brotherhood Winery, America’s oldest winery. How I Caught the Travel Bug – True Confessions of an Addict

The first time I traveled out the country by myself I was nineteen years old. My college had a winter January semester called Winter Study when every student would take a class, study abroad, or do an internship off campus. During my sophomore year Winter Study I was fortunate enough to be recommended by one of my professors to do a language immersion course in Guatemala for the month. I still remember sitting on the plane to Guatemala City. I was alone, going to a country whose language I had had nowhere near mastered and planning to stay with a host who I had never met. All I remember thinking was “what in the world did I just get myself into?” Long story short, that month in Guatemala changed my life and I have never been the same since.
