I sat down a few days ago and realized that I’ve learned a lot over the last 30ish days. Its easy to just keep moving forward without thinking twice about the past month, but I think its important to take a moment and reflect. So let’s look back, shall we?

What’s Your Legacy?
I went to a funeral this week. I’ve blessed enough to not even remember the last time that I attended a funeral before now. It was so long ago and I was so small that I barely remember it at all. But this week there I was, among a crowd of people saying goodbye to someone that we’ll never see again here on this earth.
Midweek Meditation: When Rushing Gets in the Way of Life
Yesterday I was washing dishes when I suddenly dropped one of my mugs and it shattered all over the kitchen floor. (To be honest I may have also been having a private dance party since I had the apartment to myself, but I’m convinced that’s not the reason I dropped it.) How I’m Learning Life Lessons in Marcus Garvey Park
“This here is our own little piece of heaven.”
He looked out over the crowded park chess tables like a king proudly showing off his kingdom. He had a crown full of white hair and sat on the weathered green park bench like it was his own personal throne. He looked old enough to be my grandfather and had a face just as kind. At the time, I hadn’t known him for long but from what I could tell he had a life full of experiences behind him. I could only imagine all the knowledge he had to share.
