600 Miles in 2016: The Under Armour Challenge

As some of you know, a few weeks ago I signed up for Under Armour’s You Vs. Year challenge. The goal? Run 600 miles by midnight on December 31st 2016. I know it sounds crazy. 1000km is  (Or 600 miles for those of us who aren’t about that metric system.) But didn’t I say that I was going to try some crazy things this year? What’s Your Legacy?

I went to a funeral this week. I’ve blessed enough to not even remember the last time that I attended a funeral before now. It was so long ago and I was so small that I barely remember it at all. But this week there I was, among a crowd of people saying goodbye to someone that we’ll never see again here on this earth.

Making the Most of 2016

I’m excited this New Years. I can just tell that 2016 is going to be a year of greatness. I know we do this every year, make resolutions that we may or may not actually follow through with, but any chance to try and have a fresh start is one worth taking. Resolutions are not about us running from our old selves or pretending to be someone we’re not. They’re an opportunity to dare to try again, to want something more for our lives, and to be the person we’ve been striving to become. We need to stop convincing ourselves that we’re not worth a second chance at greatness. If you’re honest with yourself you know you’re still hoping for more than what you had in 2015.
